What is Gin?

Gin is produced by adding juniper berry flavoring to a neutral base spirit typically made from a mash of cereal grains. Some of the flavors used in gin include seeds, herb, citrus peels, roots and nuts.  Most gin is bottled unaged but aging is allowed.

London Dry Gin:

London Dry Gin is a light, dry, crisp type of distilled gin that originated in nineteenth-century London. It has clean juniper berry flavor and is most widely used in a Martini and Gin and Tonic.  The term "dry", "extra-dry", and "very dry gin" are all used here to indicate lack of sweetness.

The EU defines London dry gin as

1.)  having less than 0.1 liter of sugar per liter
2.)  must be created using original distillation or redistillation
3.)  having no additional flavoring or other additives (other than water) during post-redistillation

Plymouth Gin:

Plymouth Gin, still made in Plymouth, England to this day, has been produced since 1793.  This gin is crystal clear with a full bodied texture.  You'll find fruity aromas and juniper berry.
